Dr Jeffrey Wiseman /// Internist

Dr Jeff Wiseman is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the McGill Faculty of Medicine who practices at the Royal Victoria Hospital (at the Glen Site as of April 2015). He is a Core Member of the McGill Centre for Medical Education, Associate Member of the McGill Faculty of Education ATLAS (Advanced Technologies for Learning in Authentic Settings) Laboratory, McGill Director of Faculty Development for the New Curriculum Initiative, Royal College International Academy Workshop Leader and Educator and Medical Advisor for the BMO Financial Group.

In the past he has been Chief Examiner for the French Internal Medicine Royal College Certification Examination, Investigator with the McGill Educational Initiative on Interprofessional Collaboration, Director of a general internal medicine Clinical Teaching Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital, McGill Internal Medicine Clerkship Director and Director of the RVH and Westmount Square Executive Health Clinics.

Jeff Wiseman is a lifelong habitual athlete who enjoys varying combinations of running, cycling, weight training and swimming. He rarely passes up opportunities to learn something new. He is a former musician (member of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra chorus) and audiophile who loves diverse kinds of well-recorded and live music. Jeff enjoys traveling widely as invited presenter/speaker on diverse topics in medical education. He is currently creating a serious medical smartphone-based game called the “Deteriorating Patient App” with the aim of helping medical students learn how to stabilize acutely ill patients when on call.
